In The Mix #4

Here it is, the fourth official “In The Mix” post. Hope you guys enjoy!

~ Mariah Carey [ft. Dem Franchize Boyz] - Say Somethin’ [So So Def Remix] ~
Jermaine Dupri switches up Mariah’s Say Somethin’ in this hard-hitting urban remix. Waaaay better than the original in my opinion. This is definitely one to bump in the car.

~ Backstreet Boys - Everybody [Bar Saraf Remix] ~
I know what you’re all thinking… “c’mon Chris, the BACKSTREET BOYS?” Shoot, I know a lot of you are in the same boat as me when I say the Backstreet Boys made up a big part of my childhood - don’t lie to yourself, people. The song Everybody was my JAM back in the day =P. Up for download is a nice electro remix I came across a few days ago. Brought back so many memories! *sniff*

~ Janet Jackson - So Much Betta ~
So Much Betta is a sick little ditty off Janet’s latest album Discipline. Those of you who watch the show “So You Think You Can Dance”, this is the song that played during Wade Robson’s Japanese group number.

~ Citizen Cope - Let The Drummer Kick ~
There isn’t much to this song; just some drum kicks, a little bass, and some simplistic one-word verses. But it’s all so captivating in a way… just give it a listen.

And lastly, here’s a little “bonus” lol…

~ Justin Bieber - One Time ~
Alright so… I hear this song on the radio all the time and it’s MAD ANNOYING. I mean, I saw Justin’s videos on YouTube and he really IS a good singer… but to be 15 years old and to sound like a total girl on your first single - I dunno. Haha. So in light of this, my friends and I thought it would be cool to sorta “tweak with his vocals a bit”, a.k.a. lower the pitch of the song. And voila! Here’s One Time, a few keys lower. He actually sounds: 1) like he’s fifteen and 2) like he’s a boy. Lol.
